Device Philosophy
The CANtouch is a battery operated handheld diagnosis device for physical and logical CAN bus analysis. With its modern touch control it allows an intuitive and efficient handling without an additional computer. As further development of the CAN-Bus Tester 2 it has not only its functionality, it has new additional measurements as well. An easier valuation procedure with ample colors and smileys support your work with quick valuation of the measurements.
CANTouch allows firmware updates, new functionality can be unlocked by purchasing additional licenses.
The integrated battery supplies power to the device without a problem for a whole intense measurement day. It is monitored by a special charge controller that calculates remaining time and residual charge. If all that is not enough – the device is charged up to 80% in only one hour regardless of whether you are measuring in that time or not.
The rubberized aluminum continuous casting body is not only impressing high quality, it is also extremely robust.
Possibilities
The CANtouch is a mobile measuring device for CAN-based bus systems.
The further development of the CAN-Bus Tester 2 is battery-powered and equipped with a touch display. Its intuitive user interface allows extensive measurements to be taken in the shortest possible time. The results can be archived for documentation or later analysis and further processed on the PC.
The physical layer measurements have been extended to include the direct determination of potential differences between the participants (common mode /ground shift).
With the online trigger, you can monitor the bus for individual physical limits, determine problems over time and make errors visible in the oscillogram.
The protocol monitor is used for sending, receiving, decoding and recording messages.

Possibilities
The CAN-Bus Tester 2 is a widely used measuring device for control of bus parameters. The success story starts already in year 2002 with the first model. The hardware was completely redesigned in version 2. The corresponding software is still developed and has been enhanced with extensive updates.
Check the setup of the bus before you switch on with the bus wiring test, measure under running conditions down on the physical layer and analyses data of the nodes with the protocol monitor. The long time monitor shows scattered errors and creeping signal loss.
The trigger output makes it possible to show data of only one node of the bus.
The great box contents within the service case with big adapter set makes it possible to use the device out of the box in many environments. You can safe your measurements and print a status protocol directly from the software.
